Lee M. Mandel, M.D. F.A.C.S., F.A.R.S.
Thousands of patients successfully treated.
“With Dr. Mandel, South Florida Breathes Easier.”
Dr. Mandel graduated top 5 in his medical class from the University of South Florida as standing President of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Following his residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, he excelled in a coveted Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the tutelage of Dr. Ferdinand F. Becker, a pioneer in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Following in his mentor’s legacy, Dr. Mandel became a faculty member of the Open Forum — an annual international conference under the auspices of the Foundation of Innovation, Education, and Research in Otolaryngology — where he distinguished himself as a thought leader in his specialty. His highly specialized minimally invasive sinonasal, sleep and snoring office-based surgeries have helped thousands of patients breathe easier, and have influenced the advancement of the study and practice of Otolaryngology and Rhinologic surgery.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Mandel has shared his knowledge of minimally invasive sinonasal, sleep, and snoring surgical techniques as well as individualized patient testing methods of his own invention, allowing physicians worldwide to provide their patients with the same level of care so they too can enjoy the comfort of a symptom-free life.
As a pioneer of progress, Dr. Mandel, Director of the South Florida Sinus and Allergy Center and the South Florida Snoring and Sleep Center, established a comprehensive state-of-the-art medical facility and enlisted a highly specialized faculty of medical professionals to assist in the delivery of treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Dr. Mandel is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is co-founder and executive member of the board of directors for the Society for Innovation and Technology in Otolaryngology (SITO). He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is the only private practice Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society in South Florida where he serves on the Patient Advocacy Committee. Most recently, Dr. Mandel served as Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Florida Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and continues his service as Immediate Past-President.
